As one of the most recognized programs in college basketball, Kansas is often an easy target for the hot-take bloggers and analysts that populate many of our favorite sites. They throw out insane opinions with the hope that Kansas fans will run to their sites to defend our beloved Jayhawks. More shitty opinions, more clicks!
It doesn’t have to be like this. After the 2017 Elite Eight loss to Oregon, and the subsequent calls for Bill Self to be fired, I decided enough was enough.
Inside the Phog is my little corner of the Kansas Jayhawks basketball community. The theme: Reason Will Prevail. If you wanted Bill Self gone back in March, this probably isn’t the site for you. If you prefer writers who exclusively think with crimson-tinted glasses, this definitely ain’t the site for you.
Inside the Phog is dedicated to providing unique game previews and recaps, in-depth analysis of Bill Self’s — and opponents’ — coaching tactics, and the occasional alcohol-fueled rant. (I am, after all, a shamelessly diehard fan at heart.)
My primary desire is to write anything about Kansas basketball, but a close second is putting out content that Jayhawk fans look forward to reading. If you comes across something and think, “wow, that really sucks,” please let me know. Likewise, if you enjoy a particular post or find some tidbit to be especially informative, I’d love to hear about that as well.
